Knowing what's actually in the quote — and what your slab needs before coating — is the difference between a floor that lasts 10+ years and one that peels in the first hot summer.
What the coating types actually cost
For a standard 400 sqft two-car garage, installed prices:
- DIY water-based epoxy kit: $150–$400 materials. 1–3 year lifespan. Fine for basement laundry rooms and light-use garages, but not durable enough for hot-tire pickup or oil.
